British Columbia, Saskatchewan and PEI Invite Candidates in Latest PNP Results

  Candidates for provincial nomination have been nominated in three Canadian provinces.  All of Canada’s provinces and territories (excluding Quebec and Nunavut) can invite a specific number of people to seek for nomination to settle within their jurisdiction under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Results of provincial immigration from October 13 to October 27 British Columbia On October 17, British Columbia invited over 152 applicants to participate in the BC PNP. Four separate draws were held by the province. The largest was a general draw, which comprised candidates from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled Streams. Skilled Workers needed a Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) score of 111, International Graduates needed 113, and Entry-Level Semi-Skilled applicants needed 91. IRCC Holds Express Entry Draw for Healthcare Occupations; Third Draw This Week

  The Third Express Entry draw of the week was held by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In a category-based selection draw for healthcare jobs, the government issued 3,600 invitations to apply (ITAs). To be considered, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 431. Today’s draw comes after two others this week. On October 24, there was a Provincial Nominee Program-only draw. IRCC invited 1,548 individuals having a CRS of at least 776 to apply.  Because Express Entry candidates who are also nominated by a province receive an additional 600 CRS points, the minimum CRS score for PNP candidates is higher than typical. On October 25, the second draw was held, and 300 candidates were invited in a category-based selection draw for those who demonstrated French-speaking proficiency. Immigration Minister : Canada Expects to Process 20,000 Indian Visas by End of 2023

Immigration Minister Marc Miller stated yesterday at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration (CIMM) that of the 38,000 visas for Indians that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) expected to process by December, the department will only be able to process 20,000. He claims that only five IRCC members are currently able to conduct the on-the-ground work in India required to process applications. According to IRCC, as a result, there will be slower: ·          overall processing times ·          responses to enquiries ·          getting visas or passports returned IRCC now anticipates a backlog of around 17,500 Indian applicants at the start of 2024.   The second   Express Entry   draw of the week was held by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In a category-based selection draw for French language proficiency, the department issued 300 invitations to apply (ITAs). To be considered, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 486. This draw follows the most recent one on October 24, when 1,548 candidates with a minimum CRS of 776 were invited in the first PNP-only lottery since May 10.  Because candidates in the Express Entry pool who are also nominated by a province receive an additional 600 CRS points, the minimum CRS score for PNP drawings tends to be higher.  Express Entry candidates are no longer required to undergo an initial medical examination. In a draw for Provincial Nominee Program candidates, the department welcomed 1,548 individuals. A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 776 was required for candidates.
